Fresh out of film school I cut my teeth in documentary. Serendipity brought me to Kenya to film in 2004, and since then, Nairobi has been home. Up until 2012 I had traveled to 25 African countries documenting resilient communities in the face of adversity. This work shaped my eye as a DoP, and more importantly, as a fellow human being.
